Bourges Saint Doulchard Plant Anniversary
HAPPY 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF OUR PLANT IN BOURGES SAINT-DOULCHARD!

On October 27th 2022, we celebrated the 70th anniversary of our Bourges Saint Doulchard plant.
Established in 1952, the plant employs more than 600 people. It is the only Michelin plant in Europe to design tires for the aviation industry. This anniversary is an opportunity to look back on an industrial history marked by successes and crises, but above all to look to the future.
The ceremony was attended by the plant’s employees alongside plant’s director Jacques Glemot, Michelin Aircraft director Mauro Sponza, member of Michelin’s Executive Committee and Director of Specialty Businesses Serge Lafon, member of Michelin’s Executive Committee and Industrial Director Jean-Christophe Guerin, President of Centre-Val de Loire region François Bonneau, Prefect of the Cher department Maurice Barate and Mayor of Saint-Doulchard city Richard Boudet.

During the celebration, a major announcement was made. Aircaptif, a subsidiary of the Michelin Group and an innovative French start-up specialized in the field of ultralight inflatable insulation solutions – for industry or healthcare, has chosen the Michelin Saint-Doulchard site for the industrialization of its numerous innovations.
With this project and the development of new activities, the site has solid assets for the years to come!
