Since 1980, Aviation Sans Frontières has been an active player in humanitarian efforts, utilizing aeronautical resources and expertise to serve global aid initiatives. As a recognized Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) of public utility, it offers crucial logistical support to hundreds of humanitarian actors, ensuring the delivery of emergency aid and the transportation of people and escorts worldwide. The organization manages around 20 humanitarian requests daily with the help of its 800 volunteers.

The association operates its own aircrafts—2 Cessna Caravans based in Africa, known for their ability to function under challenging conditions. Additionally, it is the first NGO to hold a European Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC), granting it the same operational privileges as a certified airline.

Our Actions with Auvergne pour un enfant
In 2023, the Michelin Foundation backed Auvergne Pour Un Enfant’s initiative to transport 210 children with severe heart conditions to medical centers in Lyon and Clermont Ferrand for surgical treatment. This support not only facilitated critical medical care but also strengthened collaborations between medical professionals and contributed to the training of doctors in disadvantaged countries, reinforcing our commitment to global health and well-being.
